Spruce vs Waalaxy

Waalaxy is the most affordable serious tool in this category, and for a lot of teams that settles it. Run one clear segment with a message that works and its free tier will take you further than most paid alternatives. What follows is about the cases where that stops being enough, and about being straight on where they are genuinely better than us.

How the AI writes

No generative writing documented. Outreach described as multichannel campaign animation.

Positioning

All-in-one omnichannel acquisition platform with a bundled B2B contact database.

The AI writes at a different level

Waami generates at campaign level. You describe the campaign, it produces the copy, and every prospect in that campaign receives it with variables swapped. Spruce generates per prospect: the model reads the profile and writes the message from what it finds there. The word AI covers both, but the unit of work is not the same.

Nothing is filtered before the invitation

Waalaxy's AI analyses replies. It never looks at a profile before the invitation goes out, so whatever is in your list gets contacted. Spruce scores each profile against your personas first and drops the ones that do not fit. That matters because your invitation quota is capped whatever tool you use.

One is built on campaigns, the other is not

Waalaxy asks you to build a campaign per segment. Spruce has no campaign object at all. You describe your offer and personas once, and each prospect is handled against that brief, which leaves fewer things to maintain when the offer changes.

On price, they win

19€ a month, with a free tier that is actually usable. Nothing on this page changes that arithmetic, so if budget is your binding constraint, start there.

Which to choose

If you have one segment, one message that works and a tight budget, take Waalaxy. If you are running several personas, changing the offer, or watching reply rates fall as you scale, Spruce is the better fit.

Where they are strong

  • The lowest price in the category by some distance, and the free tier is usable
  • A very large organic footprint, at around 9,400 keywords
  • Onboarding is quick

Where they fall short

  • Waami generates at campaign level rather than per prospect, so every lead in a campaign gets the same message with the variables swapped
  • The AI analyses replies only, and never the profile before an invitation goes out
  • About 5% of their traffic is US, which leaves them weak in the American market

Our verdict

Waalaxy is the better first tool. It is cheaper, simpler, and it will teach you what your market responds to. Come back when the same template stops working across segments, because that is the problem we built for.

Frequently asked

Waalaxy is far cheaper. Why would I pay more?

Often you should not. If you sell one thing to one kind of buyer and your message already works, Waalaxy will do the job and the price difference is real money. The case for Spruce starts when the same message stops working across several segments, or when maintaining a campaign per persona has quietly become somebody's job.

How many invitations can I actually send with each?

Spruce includes 800 connection requests a month on every plan. Waalaxy gives you 300 a month on Pro, and 800 on Advanced and Business. So on their entry paid plan you send roughly a third of the volume, and you have to move up two tiers to match. LinkedIn also applies its own ceiling on top of whatever the tool allows.

Waalaxy has AI too. Is that not the same thing?

Both are called AI, but they work on different units. Waami writes one message for a campaign, then swaps variables for each lead, so two prospects in the same campaign receive the same argument. Spruce reads each profile and writes that message from what it finds there, follow-ups included. If you want to test the difference, take ten prospects from the same list and compare the ten messages each tool produces.

Can I move my Waalaxy lists over?

Yes. You can import your prospect lists and pick conversations back up. Spruce re-reads the profiles and qualifies them before anything else is sent.

When is Waalaxy still the better choice?

A tight budget, one clear segment, a message that already gets replies, and no plan to sell several offers. That is a genuinely good fit, and no amount of per-prospect AI changes the arithmetic for you.
