Why follow-ups matter
80% of B2B sales require at least 5 touchpoints. Yet most salespeople give up after the first message goes unanswered. Following up isn't harassment: it's professionalism.
The right timing
Your first follow-up should land 3 to 5 days after the initial message. Too early, you seem pushy. Too late, the prospect has forgotten you. Spruce helps you plan these follow-ups automatically in Setting.
The right tone
A good follow-up adds value. Don't repeat your first message. Share useful content, ask a relevant question, or reference recent news about the prospect's company.
How many follow-ups?
We recommend 2 to 3 follow-ups maximum on LinkedIn, spaced 4 to 7 days apart. After 3 follow-ups with no reply, switch channels or flag the prospect for later.
How Spruce automates follow-ups
In Spruce, you define your sequence: number of follow-ups, delays, content. The tool sends automatically and stops as soon as the prospect replies. Everything is tracked in Setting for clear visibility.
